To make a bootable USB for Window 7/Vista/Xp

I just want to share some of my knowledge with everyone.

Make a bootable usb for window installation by using just CMD(command prompt)
Why?

It is better , smaller , safer , faster.

YOU NEED The following items,

1.USB(4GB+)
2.Windows Installation Dvd

1. Start > All programs >Accessories > right click on Command Prompt and select run as administrator.
2.type in diskpart
3.type in Listdisk.( it will display how many disk you have)
4.Select the disk you wanted to boot with by typing Select Disk 1(the number can be vary depend on how many disk you plug in)
5.Clean
6.Create Partition Primary
7.Select Partition 1
8.Active
9.format fs=ntfs
10.assign
11.exit




After all that ,

Insert the window installation disk into your optical drive.Note down the Drive letter and the USB media letter.
Go back to command prompt and execute the following commands:

Type in the following in the cmd
1. D:CD BOOT and hit enter. Where “D” is your DVD drive letter
2. BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 H:
(Where “H” is your USB drive letter)

Lastly ,

Copy all the windows dvd file into your USB.

There you go. A bootable USB installtion.
